Mods
If you’re a super fan of FromSoftware, then at a certain point you probably get curious about mods of their games. Here are some of the ones I personally recommend, consider this an Editors choice. If you want installation instructions each mod will be linked to its Nexus mods page or its most up to date community link.

Scorched Contract is basically a challenge run mod. As you beat bosses you’ll be forced to play under some new restriction or some new obstacle or hazard will be introduced into the game. A lot of these are really creative and test the players' knowledge of the game and push them to be resourceful. As the game progresses the difficulty gets very, very high. While I like this mod, I wouldn’t recommend it to someone unless they are extremely proficient in Dark Souls 1. That highlights one of my major criticisms of Scorched Contract. The final boss is just kind of dumb. It falls into the trap many mods do of pushing high difficulty for the sake of it. But don’t let that dissuade you, if you’ve played DS1 a ton, this mod is a lot of fun. Give it a try.

The Convergence is an overhaul mod of Dark Souls 3, meaning it changes the entirety of the game in drastic ways to give a whole new experience. I have only just recently been playing this mod so I can’t give too much of my own criticism of it yet. But everyone I’ve asked about it has nothing but positive things to say so I’m trusting the community on this one. (And if you don’t like it you can’t blame me)

I’ve already written a whole article on the Resurrection mod here. I’ve linked to the discord because it has more up to date versions than Nexus Mods.
What is it?
Elden Ring might be new but it’s already got mods. This mod, as the name says, will shuffle all the items in Elden Ring but the really cool thing is the param rng. You can get some really crazy outcomes when messing with that such as getting projectiles to have totally different behavior. This mod is still in its early stages and Elden Ring is still getting patched regularly, so don’t be surprised if some issues arise.
What is it?
The Ascended mod of Elden Ring is an overhaul mode. Attempting to make the game more challenging while changing enemy ai, adding all sorts of new items and gear while changing the overall balance of the game. This mod is still early in development and it’s very difficult, so keep that in mind while you play.
What is it?
The Seamless Co-Op mod of Elden Ring drastically changes how multiplayer works in the game. It allows players to stay connected after killing bosses, and changes how the multiplayer items work to make co-op more convenient. You can even level up while still connected with other players. This mod is still early in development and because it breaks FromSoftwares online ToS, it requires its own launcher, so keep that in mind when you decide to try it out.
